About Us

The Wong Shun Leung Ving Tsun Kung Fu Association was founded in 1994 with the permission on Wong Shun Leung. Though having trained together in Ving Tsun since 1971, Anthony Kan and Clive Potter did not train directly as students of Wong Shun Leung until the mid 80's. They were then given certificates to teach by Wong Shun Leung in 1990. Since then then Wong Shun Leung Ving Tsun Association UK has expanded with schools in the UK and abroad.

It is the mission of the Wong Shun Leung Ving Tsun Kung Fu Association UK to instruct and spread the Wong Shun Leung method of Ving Tsun. A number of students have now practised Ving Tsun under the Association for many years and have also had the opportunity to meet and train with Wong Shun Leung himself. Some of these are now teachers under our Association.

Adam Cope has studied WSL Ving Tsun under the Association since 1993 and is now the Assistant Senior Instructor. Adam helps out with the running of the Association and also gives private lessons to individual students.

Mark Potter has been studying Ving Tsun from a young age and now helps out in the class at busy times and when his father is away.
