August 2009 saw Clive Potter and his son, Mark driving to Paris, France.  The Ving Tsun school is run by Michael a student of Denis Fossion from Liege in Belgium. People attended for both Belgium and France and as far a field as Lyon in the south of France.

The purpose of the visit was to give a seminar on the concepts and ideas behind the first Ving Tsun form, Siu Lin Tau. Certain drills relating to the concepts in Siu Lin Tau were explained and then practised by the students. Though this was to be the main subject on the agenda, the seminar would also be open to questions and discussions on other aspects of Ving Tsun as the students attending were quite mixed in abilities.
